They also offer chocolate covered pecans, walnuts and almonds.  The pecan oil they sell is a very healthy cooking oil with a saturated fat level 30% lower than olive oil. And the South Texas honey comes from hives located just southwest of San Antonio and is a Huajilla ("Wa-he-a") and Clover mixture. Circle H Orchards' peach products come from the Fredericksburg, Texas peaches.

Edelen Farms

Greg and Lauren Edelen raise grass-fed beef and natural chickens on their farm in Alice, Texas. They are dedicated to developing healthy land that produces wholesome, nutritious food and to enhance the health of our environment.  Avoiding the use of chemicals is more expensive and labor intensive, however, they feel it is important to have meat that is free of the synthetic chemicals that jeopardize both our health and our environment. They are pleased to give you the opportunity to enjoy the delicious meat and farm fresh eggs they have enjoyed in their household for years.

History
The
Leon Springs Farmers Market was established by Mario Obledo, Jr. in August, 2007.  The area's growth and increased customer demand has resulted in some exciting changes for this market since its inception.

Originally, the market was held on Thursday afternoons in the parking lot of the Leon Springs Dancehall, but, in response to requests, it soon switched to Saturday mornings, so more people could enjoy the convenience of a local farmers market.  As the market traffic increased, the Leon Springs Dancehall location was no longer a good fit.

Just one year after opening, the market relocated to the Leon Springs Baptist Church, located at 24133 Boerne Stage Road, where it remains today.

The Leon Springs Farmers Market has been a wonderful addition to the community. Its welcoming atmosphere and friendly spirit ensures that both the customers and the vendors have a good time and reap the rewards of supporting local farmers and artisanal businesses.
